July 31, 2014:  World Congress of Psychiatry to be held in Madrid Spain September 14th - 18th 2014.  Dr. Copelan has been invited to speak at the prestigious 16th World Congress of Psychiatry on the impact of nonideation states on youth suicide attempts.  He will be presenting his findings on nonideation suicidality and sharing his suicidal and homicidal assessments(ACUTE, ACTA, and VISTA)  with the world.   Dr. Copelan has also been honored with being the Chairman for the Psychiatric Emergency section. 

September 17, 2013:  The Colorado School Safety Resource Center, Dept. of Public Safety is hosting a Youth Suicide Prevention and Intervention Symposium to be held Tuesday, October 22, 2013, 8:00 - 3:30.  Dr. Copelan will be the Keynote speaker discussing youth nonideation violence on how it can be detected and treated.
